Islington Gangs Disruption Services (RAGs)
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
Fixed Term Contract
Shian Housing Association Ltd’s Makeda Weaver Project has successfully worked with young people and gangs all over London.
Our Islington Gang Exit and Disruption Service has been set up to support young people and young adults (up to 24 year olds), involved in youth disorder, to exit offending lifestyles and engage with support services, positive activities and education, employment and training. We are looking for three new members of staff to assist us with this new service.
Mediating, educating, supporting, mentoring, relocating, motivating, involving, saving, training, empowering, and advocating are just some of the words used to describe our work.
The capital’s leading gangs project has saved lives and changed lives, reducing violent crime within our communities and supporting those families caught up in the violent cycles of gangs and gang culture, from mentoring in schools to working on and in some of the most active gang areas in London. Helping people exit the lifestyle and make lasting change.
With over 10 years experience of working with gangs in urban areas this Project is rapidly expanding and is looking for motivated individuals that are up for a challenge, are professional and know the streets.
