Our core project focuses on young black men who want to leave crime, drugs and gangs behind. Often they are coming out of prison and, without support, would be forced back to their old ways.
Our success speaks for itself. So far around 130 people have helped, and just two have re-offended
We have also developed projects to meet a growing need to help younger people and young women:
Schools mentoring – for those at risk of being excluded because of violence, gang related behaviour and sexual exploitation.
Safe & Secure Project – in conjunction with Scotland Yard to help young men, women and families who have been threatened with murder or violence.
RAGS (Reality Around Gangs) – as part of the Safer Islington Partnership, we work to diffuse community tensions and help individuals. |
