Our partnership with RISE means you can get free expert help to find a new or better job.
Rise is an award-winning employability programme, which was originally developed for Arhag Housing Association by Olmec.
Any resident over the age of 16 can take part – whatever your personal situation.
Rise can help if:
you’re returning to work – after a break to raise children or because you were unwell
you’re looking for your first job or an apprenticeship
you’ve just left college or university and don’t know what to do next, or
you have a job already, but you want to do something different.
The programme offers six weeks of informal group learning and support.
You will learn about:
jobhunting techniques
interview skills, and
how to write a CV
You will also get one-to-one advice from specialist advisors and the opportunity to gain an NCFE entry-level Employability Skills qualification – which tells employers you are work-ready.
The course ends with four weeks in a guaranteed volunteer or work placement of your choice. This helps you build your skills and confidence – as well as giving you a reference for your CV.
When you get a job, RISE will carry on supporting you, as you settle in.
